Propaganda is not a method used by some long-gone communist dictatorships, but is used by your government and media today. Those who would prefer to rule you by removing your ability to question their behavior, have learned to use propaganda not just in war but in peacetime as well. This is how they try to remove your own thinking, conscience, and will from consideration. Propaganda is designed to reduce awareness.
Do you know when you are hearing propaganda versus the truth? Have you learned to recognize the unspoken agenda and perceive the fundamental dishonesty of so many people you see or hear in the news? Or have you been effectively programmed to take everyone at face value and believe what you are told?
Propaganda is disinformation — a form of programming or indoctrination intended to render you unaware of the larger truth. It works by giving you the wrong information and having you make decisions based upon intentionally wrong, distorted, partial, or concealed information. A classic example is the massive disinformation campaign waged by the US government during the Vietnam War, in which death statistics were completely fabricated or concealed, and Americans were told daily that they were winning the war. Notice that this was not just some form of "positive thinking," or optimism, but rather an entirely negative campaign of lies, untruth, deception, and enforced unawareness, in order to remove any true choice from the American people — while slaughtering innocent men, women, and children for absolutely no good reason. It is a fundamental truth that what you are told to be the basis for war, what you are told about the progress of the war, and what you are told are the results of the war, are basically propaganda, not truth.
Governments are expert at using words to hide what they are saying. So, they speak of "collateral damage," rather than telling you they have in fact been bombing hospitals and killing thousands of innocent, men, women, children, and babies. They lie to you purposefully, because they do not wish you to be aware of the Truth or object to what you can see is wrong, untrue, or just plain evil. So they lie to you, to take the choice to object to their actions away from you. Your government routinely holds press briefings to lie to the media, and the media fabricate or assemble corroborating "news" to lie to you, daily.
Everything you think you know, especially via the traditional news, may include a great deal of disinformation, especially when it comes to something important like war. But, the propaganda masters go further than that; they indoctrinate you in the opposite of the Truth. read more ...
