A simple Way: connect to inner truth, peace, love, and light.

There is a place to stand, within you — your true self — to deal with everything in the world around you, from a place of inner strength, wisdom, peace, love, and power.

The Negative Aspect

"The man who does not learn is dark, like one walking in the night."

— Chinese proverb

If this world is in darkness, and illusory, then what does it mean to "learn"? Surely, it is not learning to live in and accept the darkness. Rather, it must mean surmounting the darkness, seeing beyond the illusion, and truly thinking for oneself rather than stumbling around in the dark like everyone else.

We are here to discuss, and not in any way glorify, the negative aspect. It must be obvious that all problems are based in the negative aspect: they almost always reflect an absence of Truth, Light, or Love. Problems are the realm of negativity. But, in order to deal with problems we have to deal with the negative aspect, in the right way. It simply does not work to ignore, deny, overlook, or avoid the negative; it needs to be confronted, comprehended, and dealt with, properly. In other words, to solve problems, you have to deal with what is wrong in the right way, and not become wrong.

A popular lie is that if you imagine you are good or spiritual, then you deserve everything you desire, no matter how egotistical, vain, corrupt, delusory, abusive, deluded, or evil. This is simply a way of rationalizing the most unspiritual behavior, by thinking of the world and everyone in it as there for the rape and pillaging, there for the taking. Those false spiritual beings who scurry around like pack rats filling their lives with everything they can find or take from this world — or others — will find that they have nothing in the end. What will they take with them when they leave this world? They have traded their Light for the glitter and the gold. And, they will have to answer to the True God for that.

There is a polarity to life, with spiritual opposites of good and evil, right and wrong, love and hate, truth and falsehood, and reality as opposed to illusions. Many people go through life in a kind of middle ground, not making the effort to embrace one polarity or the other, or never really being aware of the choice. Some would argue that we need both polarities to make the "whole," that we need to take the good with the bad, accept the shadow with the true self, embrace the darkness to see the light. Neither of those approaches is ultimately workable; neither reduces or corrects wrong. Only a small number have the willingness or awareness to choose the spiritual good, right, love, truth, and reality, over the opposite. They honor the Highest Good by seeking to align their choices, their life, and their inner self with a Higher Good. Though they are a minority in every society, they have made the best choice, for themselves, for others, for the Highest Good. Albert Einstein observed, "The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."

You are given a choice, in each and every moment: the positive or the negative. The negative, even though it may be self-negating, is the common choice. The negative aspect, or "dark side of the force," can be very tempting. It comforts you in your illusions, it grants the false peace of living in denial, it justifies your anger and ego, it promises to give you whatever you want, it feeds your ambitions and desires, and it rewards you with sensory gratification, pleasure, money, false authority, and things. Because it doesn't necessarily ask that you be outright evil, it is easy for many to make this choice. Just give in a little to ego, emotion, illusions. Just go for what you want. How could there be anything wrong with that?    read more ...
