A simple Way: connect to inner truth, peace, love, and light.

There is a place to stand, within you — your true self — to deal with everything in the world around you, from a place of inner strength, wisdom, peace, love, and power.

Life's Illusions

"I've looked at life from both sides now, from win and lose, and still somehow, it's life's illusions I recall, I really don't know life at all."

— Both Sides Now

It is possible to be in the world, experience many things, and still have no clue what life is all about. Life's illusions are very strong. So, instead of looking to the world for your answers, you may wish to look more deeply within your true inner being — that is where the truth is found. It is a common fallacy that if you look at both sides of an issue, you'll see the truth of it. Consider the proverbial example of seven blind men in India, each of whom touches a different part of an elephant and then imagines he knows what it is: one touches the trunk and says that it must be a snake; another touches a leg and says it must be a tree; another touches the side and says it must be a house, etc. None of them can understand why the others have such different opinions and perceptions. This is the problem with endless points of view, none of which recognizes the larger truth.

Perhaps you think: if we just compared and discussed all different points of view, we would see the whole truth. But, it does not work that way in this world. Consider religion. Everyone who has ever had a different idea has started a different church, a different sect; and what we have is not some sort of greater agreement but irreconcilable difference, conflict, and even wars fought over differing "truths." Due to ego and emotion, and the investment they have in their own beliefs, people would rather silence, destroy, conquer, or kill those who have different perspectives or ideas, rather than find the common thread of truth and understanding. Certainly nations do this; governments, religions, scientists — all those with an enormous investment in maintaining control by controlling what people believe — fervently reject any other viewpoint or Greater Truth. When they agree, amongst themselves, they tend to agree upon their commonly accepted delusions, not the deeper truth. This is especially the case when they lack any perception of, or real desire to accept, the truth.

Have you ever tried talking with people who have strongly held — different — religious or political views? People are often quite ready to kill each other, and do, around the globe, daily, over religious and political differences. Where do wars find their basis? In opposing perspectives, refusal to admit the truth, delusions of grandeur and superiority, ego, emotion, and the desire to eliminate or destroy opponents rather than truth-seeking with them.

It is very unlikely that you will ever hear the larger truth from a president, a pope, a prime minister, a first lady, a queen, a princess, a lawyer, a politician, a psychiatrist, an economist, a business leader, the media, reporters, educators, administrators, scientists, religionists, philosophers, "experts," etc. They like to keep you in the dark, tell you just enough to get your loyal support or belief in them, and assert their own superiority. Most people would rather not know the larger truths in life, so why disturb them with the Truth? Typically, men think about sex all day long; and women cannot wait to lie with and lie to such a man, and tell him how wonderful and deep he is. Are our elected leaders, such as Bill and Hillary Clinton, any different? It is amazing how low the highest really are, the great pretenders to leadership, righteousness, and goodness. Many people prefer falsehood and illusion, self-aggrandizement and personal ambition — how many have lives which exemplify a greater Truth or Light? If you look carefully, you will find that many of those who guide us are people of the lie, here to sustain illusions at all costs. And so the Greater Truth never enters into the picture.    read more ...
