Law
"I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever."
— Tomas Jefferson, writer of the US Declaration of Independence
Something has happened over the years. Something has changed, something fundamental. Something has been lost. And, most people, unfamiliar with the law, haven't any idea at all what that is. The legal system has become an entrenched means of denying justice, favoring wrong and evil, upholdingillusions, lies, untruths, and deception, and causing people to lose any respect they might have once had for the law. This is intentional.
Justice has been intentionally excluded from the law. The law, today, is a protector of the rights of those who govern us, and a means of restricting or denying the rights of the governed. The pretence of law is that it is there to prevent or punish behavior which is unethical, immoral, wrong, or unjust. The Truth is, the law conceals the greatest injustices and wrongs in society, especially on the highest levels. Law has become an institution of injustice, today. Or, as Supreme Court "Justice" Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. said, "This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice."
Thomas Jefferson was perhaps the greatest legal mind this world has known. It was Jefferson who overturned all prior thinking as to what constitutes the most fundamental and inalienable rights of man. You may not be aware of the battle he fought to secure you the rights you were intended to have, today. Jefferson is said to have been shaken, in a state of shock, when he was casually given a copy of the intended Constitution of the United States. Having witnessed a war to throw off tyranny and secure the rights of Americans, he noticed that the Constitution gave all rights to government, and almost no rights at all to the people. He insisted on the addition of a Bill of Rights. If not for him, you would have no rights at all, today, except perhaps for a trial by jury. And, we all know how much justice is found in those, these days.
Those who draft the laws, and who have done so from the beginning, have always been the special interests, the rich, the powerful, the corrupt, the big property owners, the big business owners, the elite. They have always crafted the laws to maintain the status quo, to ensure that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and it works that way to this day. It is a travesty and a great Lie, that Americans recite like parrots the pledge of allegiance: "one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all." No, this is not such a nation, certainly not today. There is no liberty and justice for all. Liberty — especially the ability to remain out of prison — is almost entirely dependent upon money. The poor find little justice in the legal system. They, in fact, fill the multi-billion dollar prisons. They are the clients of the prison business. This is not one nation; it is divided into two distinct economic classes, the haves and the have nots. Anatole France noted, "How noble the law, in its majestic equality, that both the rich and poor are equally prohibited from peeing in the streets, sleeping under bridges, and stealing bread!" The poor — 11.5 million American families — don't even have the right to eat; they go to bed hungry at night, and are not sure where their next meal is coming from. They live in desperation, trapped in social injustice, and not at all "free." Adlai E. Stevenson said, "A hungry man is not a free man." No, this is not "one nation," not when segregation in our schools today is more entrenched than it was before the civil rights movement; generations of African-American children receive second-rate educations, and do not have any hope of finding employment.
This is not a "nation under God," it is a nation under Mammon. It worships money. Money is its god. This is not a nation of conscience, a nation which rejects wrong simply because it is wrong. This is a nation of petty, selfish, closed-minded people who only care about themselves, who can see nothing wrong with what is wrong because they have become wrong. This is not a nation under a True God — a God of Truth, Love, Justice, Peace, and Light. America is the biggest warmonger, the greatest possessor and provider of weapons of mass destruction to the world. America has been at war with one country or another during the last fifty years, usually against the most weak, poor, and defenseless: Haiti, Panama, Granada, Afghanistan, Somalia, and so on. Waging war on the poorest people in the poorest nations on Earth, this is not the "land of the free and the home of the brave," but much the opposite. But, then this kind of attack is likened to what your government has done to its own people, in many ways except, perhaps, for the use of bombs. read more ...
