Heaven or Hell

Have you ever thought about whether you are living in a heaven or a hell, a world of wrong or right, good or evil, truth or lies, reality or Illusion? Or, as Abraham Lincoln said, "Neither Heaven nor Hell. It is simply Purgatory." Do you know the difference between truth and lies, or do you just live a lie; do you accept your society, and everything it tells you, as your reality and truth? Or have you, like Abraham Lincoln, seen through, denounced, and rejected the lies, falsehoods, abuses, corruption, and exploitation of your society, in your own time? Do you think all the problems have gone away, or are we become accustomed to them?
There is a proverbial story told of a frog in hot water: if a frog is in a pot of water at room temperature and the temperature is gradually raised, it cannot tell that it is being boiled alive. Life is like that in this world. The temperature is rising. You are, unknowingly, being acclimated for Hell by your society. All you have to do is consider the music videos that are produced these days; heavy metal or gangster rap "music;" video games like Grand Theft Auto, in which you get to kill innocent people on the streets; movies like Doom, which glowingly proclaim "hell is running over"; reports of devilish monsters such as blood-sucking chupacabras; torture of innocent people, who have never been accused of a crime, being defined as necessary, legal, and proper; horrific reports of alien abduction, and worse; chemtrails filling the sky; and, possibly, thermo-nuclear World War III heating up on the ground. Every form of toxic pollution fills our food, our air, our water, our bodies, and our minds. In many ways, every decent thing in life on Earth is being corrupted. Viewed with an objective perspective, this is a world embracing greater darkness, ignorance, suffering, disease, and death. The world is living in denial; it is living a Great Lie. It is far, far removed from Truth, Love, and Light. And it is moving inexorably toward hell, day by day.
We are not trying to scare the hell out of you or into you. Rather, we are trying to deal with the reality of the problem, and come closer to the truth. Fear and guilt can never take the place — and should never take the place — of conscience, truth, and Light, within you. As for the evil ones, well, they are hell bent on doing wrong, regardless. Do you imagine that a Sunday sermon has any effect whatsoever on those people who choose to start wars, who relish the idea of killing innocent men, women, and children? Somewhere between a half a million and a million children died as the result of the first US war on Iraq. Children, innocent children. And, in response to this, Secretary of State and then Ambassador to the UN Madeleine Albright said, "It's worth the price." There is no price the evil ones will not pay, in human life, suffering, blood, and death, for their perverse, corrupt, lying, exploitative, evil agenda. They profit by the suffering of the innocent, and have no problem at all making this hell on earth, for others.
Long ago, Lao Tsu said, "The Way of Heaven is to benefit others and not to injure." Mencius also observed, "Sincerity is the way of Heaven." We must ask: are our leaders leading the way to Heaven or Hell? Thousands of years ago, Aesop wrote, "We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office." Has anything really changed in this world, since then? In recent times, George Bush the Elder indignantly told us, "Read my lips"; Bill Clinton indignantly told us all, "I did not have sex with that woman." These Great Pretenders are liars, deceivers, con men, criminals, abusers, predators, and exploiters, of the highest order. They are not bringing heavenly peace to this Earth, but Hell. Ed Howe noted, "There may be some doubt about hell beyond the grave but there is no doubt about there being one on this side of it."
Thousands of years ago, Terence observed, "There is a demand today for men who can make wrong appear right." Has anything really changed since then? Today, our political and religious leaders still prefer to confuse the difference between Good and Evil, reverse the meaning of everything, excuse wrong as right, deceive, lie, distort, misinform, and confuse us. That is what they do best, in service to Hell on Earth. And, the reason they tend to reverse Good and Evil, lies and truth, right and wrong, is so that you will. Their goal is, quite simply, to make sure you go to hell in a handbasket. They want you to live life from a place of fear, guilt, doubt, confusion, conflict, falsehood, exploitation, and abuse. They want you to live in Hell, here, now, and later as well. Almost all of our ideas about heaven and hell come from organized religion. The main doctrines and beliefs of all religions are usually in the form: if you are in this religion and do everything you are told, and do not ever think for your self, you will go to heaven; everyone else, including everyone of every other religion, sect, or belief, is going to hell. And that is just a big, big lie. The Transcendental Meditation movement has even gone so far as to declare this Heaven on Earth, which they feel they "govern." read more ...
