A simple Way: connect to inner truth, peace, love, and light.

There is a place to stand, within you — your true self — to deal with everything in the world around you, from a place of inner strength, wisdom, peace, love, and power.

Awareness

"Every man is the creature of the age in which he lives; very few are able to raise themselves above the ideas of the time."

— Voltaire

Those who have true inner awareness, are "awake," and are capable of "seeing," are called mystics by society — as if perceiving clearly, with true vision and inner wisdom, is not possible by ordinary people. Those who understand and speak of spiritual things, beyond the physical (or the five senses), are considered unscientific and irrational. But, if life on this planet is the domain of problems, then learning to see beyond problems has to be part of the answer.

There are people who make it their mission in life to reduce our awareness, to lower the level of our thinking, our hopes, our expectations. For example, we know that 90% of Americans believe there is a heaven, that life goes on, to a much better place than this world. Skeptical scientists have spent decades trying to refute this, and now declare that there is no such thing, that people who have reported seeing heaven or the Light or Christ have all been hallucinating when they were near death; their brains were starved of oxygen, and so they all fabricated this illusion. Nonsense. Nothing the skeptics say can make the Reality of a higher spiritual dimension untrue. These closed-minded, unaware, and self-appointed "authorities" declare that if you know or believe something to be true, it isn't true unless and until you prove it to them. The reverse is actually the case: what we hold as true is true until the skeptics can prove that it is not. And, they cannot; they cannot ever prove a negative, or that something cannot be. But, they have a mission to "prove" to us all, in our modern society, that nothing exists — especially not spirit, not heaven, not God — beyond what they decide is real. Over time, the ones who are relentless in their desire to close our minds, reduce our awareness, and get us to accept what we see as all there is to life, breed short-sightedness, hedonistic and materialistic values, and greater suffering.

At the very least, we need something to look forward to, a sense that our actions matter, a Way to live a better life, with hope, caring, purpose, and responsible action. The more aware we are of the larger picture, the more we are able to have perspective on our lives, and make better choices. But, that is a challenge.

The world prefers you to be asleep, to mindlessly conform, to accept the way things are as the way they must be. Nearly everything in this world limits or blocks your true perception of reality — to make you feel good about what you have, or to anaesthetize you into oblivion. Everything and everyone that comforts you in your illusions reduces your awareness. The most common and accepted influences tend to be those that lead to the most suffering in the long term, including: "loving" relationships, the food you eat (especially meat, alcohol, and sugar), tobacco, sex, the air you breathe, ego, emotion, and all the material trappings of success. It is not just those things you think of as "negative" which bind, trap, and exploit you. Rather, the more pervasive and insidious influences are those you accept without question.    read more ...
