Animals
"The more one comes to know men, the more one comes to admire the dog."
— Joussenel
Scientists consider humans and rats to both be "animals." And, they study rats to try to understand human behavior. So, if most people are caught up in "the rat race," does that mean they are rats? It seems that way.
In Europe, every summer when millions of people go on vacation for six weeks, they just abandon their animals; they put them out. There are so many thousands of dogs put out to starve or die, that automobiles hitting dogs are the most common cause of accidents during this period. So much for human love, and kindness to "man's best friend." Animals are a more mistreated form of slave than humans (although women, blacks, and other minorities have been worked to death, beaten, castrated, experimented upon, and slaughtered quite a bit, too). Do you enjoy "tender baby veal?" Well, it has been the practice to cut the front legs off baby calves so that they can be secured in a small cell and force-fed until they have grown enough to be slaughtered. But, once you rationalize killing animals to eat, you become quite complacent with anything that happens to animals. You turn off the voice of conscience and the Light. Medical laboratories mutilate and torture animals (including very intelligent chimpanzees) in the most unspeakable ways. At least 75 million animals are killed in the US each year in "research" conducted by industry, government, and other laboratories. They inject household chemicals by the gallon into animals, to see if they are "safe" for humans. They put acid and other harsh chemicals in rabbit's eyes, to study the effect. The Nazis did the same thing to little children. US doctors have injected radioactive material into humans, to see the effects.
Notice how small a step it is for people to rationalize the torturous suffering they cause others (whether human or animal), when they righteously claim to be serving some greater cause. In this way, they egotistically elevate their own "worth" and "goodness," and devalue the lives of every other living creature. They not only desensitize themselves to and accept suffering (especially the suffering of the "less fortunate"), but find great value, satisfaction, and merit in it. This would be a good definition of Evil; and, evil is no less evil when it is rationalized, self-righteously justified, or commonly accepted.
The warped view of religion teaches the superiority of members of any given religious sect over all others, even to the point of self-righteously condoning their slaughter. With so little regard for the lives of other human beings, religion has not shown any particular regard for animals' rights either. The only good animal is a dead animal, served up fresh on the plate, as a reward for being a "good" Christian and "enjoying the bounties in life." That is what the Bible promises. Animals have no right to life in religion (except, perhaps, for cows in Hinduism) — blood sacrifice has been part of most religions, and continues to this day. It is a ritualization of the evil belief that the death of one living being will make the life of another "better." So-called Christians are proud that Christ's blood was spilled; they feel cleansed and sanctified by it. How perverse! Is this any different than the blood sacrifices of humans and animals offered up in the name of religion through the ages? The secular holiday of Thanksgiving in the US is a similar mockery of the "valuing" of life; millions of turkeys are killed every year as an expression of "gratitude" to them for life. And, it is also perverse to see a hunter on an outdoors program shoot an animal, then sit holding its dead body and proclaim ecstatically, "What a beautiful animal!" Of course, being filled with the joy of killing it, taking its life, is not appreciating its life. This is yet another reversal of meaning in our society, praising death as life. Animals are thought to exist solely for their capacity to serve man, and are not believed to have a true life of their own. But this is not so.
Scientists and religionists have yet to understand that animals, like human beings, have souls (or spirits). And, animals think. Of course, scientific "experts" do not even understand human thinking. Many believe that thinking is just a by-product of electro-chemical activity in the brain. They have no idea where thoughts and feelings come from — the "soul" not the physical brain. Scientists are just realizing that animals think and have feelings. How could they have missed or dismissed this obvious truth for so long? What did they do, try to get a horse to repair a car? This exemplifies the stubborn stupidity of humans, who declare that unless they have "proof," something cannot be true. They refuse to see the truth. Animals are simpler and more straightforward (and in many cases, smarter) than humans. read more ...
